It is a classic and everyone should have a go-to recipe that's better than just ordinary. You need very basic ingredients for this and it is quick to pull together. Its so versatile that you can switch the recipe according to your taste and preferences. The pizza you see here in the photo has a mozzarella cheese stuffed crust. So yum!
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
Garlic powder and/or dried basil leaves optional
2 Tablespoons olive oil
3/4 cup warm water (110-115 F)
Process:
Add sugar and yeast to warm water and set it aside to let it proof
In a bowl, mix all your dry ingredients and add oil and yeast mixture (should be bubbly and foamy)
Knead for about 10 minutes until the dough springs back when you poke it slightly
Let it rise in a warm dry place in a covered oiled bowl for about an hour or until double in size
Roll out the dough and pinch the sides to create a crust. Prick it with a fork to let the air out.
Blind bake for 10 minutes in a 200° pre heated oven
